「菲律賓對中國」南海仲裁案，常設仲裁法院今天公布結果，稱中國大陸在9段線範圍內主張的歷史權利沒有法律依據，而南沙群島的所有海上地物，均為礁岩，包括太平島在內。
國防部晚間發布新聞稿指出，依政府南海政策，中華民國擁有南海主權，不因常設法庭仲裁而有任何改變，國軍將堅定捍衛國家領土與主權。
國防部針對南海海域及週邊區域情勢持續嚴密監控，原定在14日赴南海巡弋的海軍康定級巡防艦，奉指示提前至13日出發，捍衛海疆。
國防部表示，為因應南海情勢變化，除與海巡署加強南海地區情監偵及掌握海、空動態外，提升聯合作戰指揮中心值勤層級，國軍將持續派遣機、艦實施南沙巡弋、運補與護航，支援海巡任務。
